*Dear Science Educator and Colleagues,*

I am writing to you to request your participation in a brief
questionnaire. The purpose of this questionnaire is to identify the stage
of educational experience in which high school science teachers were
introduced to inquiry-based and authentic research-based labs and if they
were provided with the opportunity to practice teaching those types of
labs. Teacher educational experience includes experience as a student in
high school and undergraduate science courses, experience as a student in
their science methods course in their teacher education program, experience
with their mentor teachers and on the job training, and professional
development experiences.

The survey is very brief and should take no more than fifteen minutes to
complete. Please click on the link below to go to the survey Website (or
copy and paste the link into your internet browser).

Your participation in the questionnaire is completely voluntary and all of
your responses will be kept confidential. No personally identifiable
information will be associated with your responses. The University of
Southern Mississippi has approved this questionnaire. Should you have any
comments or questions, please feel free to contact me at linda.nix at mgccc.edu
 or 228-326-6049.

Thank you very much for your time and cooperation. Feedback from MS
science teachers is very important to the researcher.

Sincerely,

Linda Nix
